The Best of the Tradition With a Heart for Evangelism and Discipleship

​Fêtes Galantes. On December 3, 7:30 pm, a celebration of the small-but-mighty bowed string instruments of the High Baroque: the rare pardessus de viole (a small violin played on the lap rather than on the shoulder), as well as other viols and harpsichord. The ensemble of outstanding instrumentalists will present 18th-c. French and Italian chamber music by Couperin, Corelli, Marais, Corrette and Vivaldi and Forqueray including an arrangement of “Spring” from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons.” There is no admission charge for the concert; a reception will follow. The concert is part of a national tour by the group, which will perform at the Boston Early Music Festival in June, 2017.
